Hello, readers, I just wanted to take the time to thank each and every one of you, again, for your loyalty and readership; I see that we have quite a dedicated and widespread readership and that means more than what words can express.
Our numbers (in total as gathered yesterday, Dec 15th at 12am) from the past two weeks of operation are as follows; after two weeks of operation, we have had 1,332 views, 964 unique visitors, and an average view per reader ratio of 1.49; when you add in yesterday, we’ve had 1,066 unique visitors and 1,443 views. We’ve had viewers from 36 states and D.C. in the USA and from 26 countries from around the world; we… I, can never thank you enough.
With that being said, I am going to be changing things up a little bit.
I’ve been (as you’ve seen) pumping out story after story, up to 20 or more, per day, 7 days a week and this was an important establishment process phase for the first two weeks of business, but it’s not realistic for me to keep pumping volume for volume’s sake.
To compare, even in big newsrooms, from my research, one person (usually) only work on 2-4 stories a day; I’m not willing to drop the content output to that number, but what I am going to do is scale it down, just slightly, from around 20 stories a day, to 10.
What this doesn’t mean is that content is going to suffer; what this does mean is that I’ll have more time to focus (more) on the stories that matter and be able to touch grass again (as the kids say these days).
We will still have our daily History Articles, our Faith&Life Articles spread throughout the week, and I will do my best to keep up with weather (on Mondays) and Maritime conditions, fishing reports and wildlife reports (on Sundays), but we are going to shift to a weekly outlook as compared to a daily report, Saturday and Sunday schedules will largely remain unaltered, only the weekdays are being scaled back a bit, but again: only in quantity, not quality.
I am still committed to bringing you firs hand National News from across America, Regional News from around Appalachia, and Local&State News from across West Virginia.
The Mission hasn’t changed, the work hasn’t changed, and the quality and standards will never change: just the volume.
The Weekday Posting Schedule will from this point on be this; articles will go out at (all times are U.S.A, Eastern Standard Time) 1A.M., 4:45 A.M., 6:30 A.M., 8 A.M., 12:30 P.M., 1:15 P.M., 3 P.M., 4:10 P.M., 6:30 P.M., 8:05 P.M.
Thank you all again, and thank you for supporting us!
